Josef Dachs (September 30, 1825 – June 6, 1896) was an Austrian pianist and music teacher.
He received his music education by Simon Sechter and Carl Czerny. He worked as a concert pianist and premiered many works.
He became professor at the Vienna Conservatory in 1850. Among others, he taught Hugo Wolf, Ferdinand Löwe, and [Josef Rubinstein }not related to Anton R.]].
He was born in Regensburg and died in Vienna.
